Awareness Session on Child Safety under ‘Surakshit Bachpan Abhiyan’
Scholars Public School, Rajpura, organised an awareness session on 30th October, 2026, under the Surakshit Bachpan Abhiyan, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, to sensitise students about child rights, personal safety and protection from abuse.
The session was graced by Shri Mayank Marwah Ji, Learned Judicial Magistrate, First Division, Rajpura, along with Shri Mahesh Kumar Ji, PLV, and Mrs Sunaina Ji, PLV, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala.
The programme centred around the theme “Bolo, Batao, Bachao” (Speak, Tell, Protect), emphasising the importance of creating a safe environment for every child. The dignitaries sensitised students about recognising unsafe situations, understanding their rights, speaking up without fear and seeking help from trusted adults. They also highlighted the importance of legal safeguards, particularly the POCSO Act, 2012, in protecting children against sexual offences.
The session began with a floral welcome of the dignitaries and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge and awareness. The interactive and informative discussion encouraged students to become more alert, confident and aware of their rights and responsibilities.
The school expressed its sincere gratitude to the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, and the esteemed guests for their valuable guidance and for spreading awareness about child protection.
The session concluded with the message that every child deserves a safe childhood, every voice deserves to be heard, and speaking up is the first step towards protection.
