In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Scholars Public School, Rajpura observed *Jal Pakhwada 2026* from 16th April to 30th April 2026 with great enthusiasm and commitment. The objective of the activity was to sensitize students about the importance of water conservation and encourage sustainable practices.
The programme commenced on 16th April 2026 with a special morning assembly, where students were made aware of the significance of water as a vital natural resource. A pledge was administered to motivate students to conserve water and adopt responsible habits in their daily lives.
Throughout the fortnight, a series of engaging and educational activities were organized for students of different classes. These included poster-making, slogan-writing, essay-writing, and speech competitions focusing on the theme of water conservation. Students showcased their creativity and awareness through meaningful expressions and innovative ideas.
An awareness rally was also conducted within and around the school premises. Students actively participated by carrying placards and raising slogans such as “Save Water, Save Life,” thereby spreading awareness among the local community.
Interactive classroom sessions and discussions were held to educate students about practical methods of saving water, including rainwater harvesting and minimizing wastage in daily activities. Teachers also integrated the theme into their lessons to reinforce its importance.
The observance concluded on 30th April 2026 with a reflection session, where students shared their learnings and experiences. The initiative proved to be highly effective in fostering environmental consciousness and responsibility among students.
The school successfully fulfilled the objectives of the CBSE initiative and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainable practices and environmental awareness.
